Burn for any length of time desired in an appropriate taper candle holder. Keep wick trimmed to between 1/8″ and 1/4″ each time candle is burned. Beeswax candles take longer to light for the first time and they may need to be held upside down to allow the wax to run away from the wick before it will successfully light. To put out the flame, quickly dip the wick in the pool of wax. This way, any smoke from the wick will be avoided.
